Surprisingly I don’t think I have ever written about a TV show on here which is weird because while I don’t really watch much TV I do watch a lot of TV shows, especially because there is a large quantity on the Uni network. I’d had Skins recommended to be by a few people and had read it was really good but it took me a while to listen, although now I midway through watching the second season and really enjoying it.

I don’t really get if the show is supposed to be realistic, maybe I’m just boring, when I went to school I didn’t go around trashing people’s houses, taking drugs everyday or have intense family issues (also seemingly every day) but these are the elements that the show thrives on. It focuses on the lives of a group of English teenagers and their exciting and wild lives although it’s really better and more relatable then it sounds. The writing is great and allows for quite believable characters and I like how the show mainly focuses on just one or two characters per an episode it really means you can get an insight into their lives and how they intertwine with those of their friends. The music is also quite good especially in the second season. I’ve become quite addicted and would like to get the DVDs to see what the directors have to say about everything but for now I’ll enjoy watching some bootlegged episodes from the uni network.
