Pitchfork’s Top 40 Music Videos of ’08

December 5, 2008

So while we’re on the subject of music videos, I thought I’d link to this, Pitchfork’s top 40 music videos of the year. I don’t recognise a lot of them, but there are a couple I know and love, such as Vampire Weekend’s Oxford Comma and Weezer’s Pork and Beans. Also make sure you check out Jay-Z’s cover of Wonderwall live at Glastonbury, which apparently was done to spite Noel Gallagher of Oasis, because he said Jay-Z wasn’t appropriate to perform there. Not being a big fan of the Gallaghers (no problem with their music, though), I found it quite amusing, even though he pretty much destroyed the song.

The Girl Talk one is pretty cool but nothing can compare to Brokencyde.
